Our summer fencing day camps are both a great introduction to the sport of fencing for children who have never fenced before and a way for more experienced children to keep up and improve their skills. They are designed to teach fencing through activities, games, and exercises that develop coordination, flexibility, and focus. Attendees will have lots of fun learning and improving at a great sport!

All camps are taught by Brooklyn Bridge Fencing Club coaches, including Olympic- and World Championship-medal-winning coach and owner

Dan Kellner, national-medal-winning coach, NCAA All-American, and Junior National Champion, Henry Kennard, Mitro Valsamis, Under-19 U.S. Foil National Champion (1979, 1980), the Cadet Sabre National Champion(1976, 1977), and the 1983 NCAA Foil Champion for NYU, José Samora, Dominican Republic National Team Member and Central American Games Bronze Medalist, and national medalist and top-ranked US Fencer, Jessie Laffey, plus other special guests!

This camp is great for those who have taken private lessons consistently for at least a year and/or have participated in U.S Fencing sanctioned competitions

During the camp, fencers will participate in age-appropriate group instruction, games, conditioning and coordination exercises, footwork, blade work, tactics, and bouting.

  • Fencers must have their own set of electric fencing equipment. Your child is welcome to bring and store their equipment at the club during the camp. The club will have some equipment for use and an armory to fix broken equipment.
  • Please make sure your child brings lunch and a snack, or money to buy it, and a water bottle.
  • Shorts are NOT permitted during fencing, knickers or sweatpants only. Changing rooms are available.
