Henry grew up in Concord, MA where he began his fencing career. With only 4 years of experience, he finished his senior year with the only undefeated season (69-0) and the best career record (174-25) in state history. Recruited by St. John’s University (Queens, NY), Henry saw quick success on the collegiate and national stage. He was a three time NCAA All-American (2004, 2007, 2008), Junior national champion (2004), and co-captain of the team (2008). In his decade long competition career, Henry was training partners with eight Olympians including Race Imboden, Jon Tiomkin, Jed Dupree, Dan Kellner and Greg Chang, and was coached by distinguished coaches Buckie Leach, Jed Dupree, Simon Gershon and Sean McClain. A perennial contender, Henry was ranked 25 or better in Division 1 Men’s Foil for six consecutive seasons (2004-2010). Henry’s passion for fencing and for teaching allows him to coach at all levels, from beginner to advanced. His students have finished in both national and regional finals, earned national rankings, and college scholarships.
